"Where patients help patients"
How Do I Become A Patient?

How do you become a cannabis patient in WA State?
Who qualifies, where can I find a doctor, where can I get my medicine?

These are some very scary questions that at one time or another we have all asked ourselves with much dread. The 1st thing I always tell people is to talk to their doctor (after gathering the correct paperwork to support your “claims”) and find out how they feel about it. You may find yourself, very quickly, out of a doctor but don’t fret as this is a necessary step. If you’re lucky, your current doctor will sign your papers but if not we have several clinics that come to our area. Basically you call them and they request you Fax them some information. Then if you qualify, they will call you back for an appt to see the doctor. When you arrive for your appt you’ll see a nurse, and pay the $200 fee (yearly). Once it’s your turn you’ll see the doctor. He/she will talk to you and perform an exam if needed. If he/she believes you’re a qualifying patient then he/she will sign your papers. These make you a patient in WA State but do nothing to help you find usable medicine now or where to go for seed or clones to start your own garden. Two such companies are THCF (the hemp and cannabis foundation) and CBR both of which come here locally. Once you’ve completed this part then you’ll need to contact us to fill out the membership and rules forms. We will also have to verify your recommendation with your doctor’s office. Once all this is complete, you are a registered patient with both the state (their recommendation your doctor signed) and with the collective. If you have further questions please feel free to call us and we will do our best to help you. You can also attend our public meetings at the Richland community center the 1st Saturday of each month at 2pm. For phone numbers and addresses please see the links page. Also, take a look at the FAQ page for more information from the Washington State Department of Health.
